2GB Google Drive Space for Checking Your Google Account Security Settings

If you are running low on Google Drive or GMail space, as part of Safer Internet Day yesterday, Google is offering a permanent 2 GB increased your Google drive storage plan by simply reviewing your account security settings to ensure that your security options are completely up to date.

To take advantage of this, you need to complete the checkout by February 17, 2015 with the additional storage being granted around the end of the month.

Google has been taking great strides to in both enhance their security and teach users about the importance of being secure, such as using secure web search. And offering an additional 2 GB of space is a good deal for users, and it also confirms for Google that your account is secure in case your password ever was stolen.

To start your check, simply go here to begin or access it via Google’s blog post.

If you have done this before, it will probably take you all of 30 seconds to confirm everything and receive your three green check marks to confirm the steps done to receive the 2GB of space. But it’s also good refresher to show you which apps have access to or are linked to your Google account, and to double check if any of them should be revoked.

It is also a good idea to check your security settings on a regular basis to ensure everything looks as it should and there is nothing suspicious that should raise an alarm.
