AMP Errors Take Up to a Week to Show in Google Search Console

John Mueller shared some important tips about aggregated reports in Google Search Console.  You can find his entire post here, but I am highlighting some of the most important pieces for webmasters.

When you are implementing AMP pages for your site, the AMP error reporting within Google Search Console can be handy to help figure out formatting issues on those pages. But if you have just added AMP pages, it can take anywhere between a few days and a week to start showing up.

In my personal experience it takes a few days to show up.  However, even once the errors start showing up, there is also a delay for the updating part of it too.  Right now, my dashboard says last updated February 20th for the status, despite adding new AMP pages in the meantime.  And the update dates vary from 3 to 5 days between updates.

So if you have delayed adding AMP, even if you can’t get to fixing AMP errors for a few days, it is worth turning on the plugin or adding functionality, and then dealing with the AMP errors when they finally show up.
