Google Adding Lottery Numbers Featured Snippets

Google is starting to display lottery numbers in the search results as a featured snippet at the top of the search results.

Pedro Dias posted this screenshot on Twitter and Google+.

This doesn’t seem to be active in the US or Canada as of this writing, but it could be rolling out across languages.

This is also great because for some reason many lottery sites, at least ones in Canada, tend to not be mobile friendly, which will make these snippets even better for those searchers who normally have to try and navigate a website – often heavy in Flash – on a desktop design from a mobile device.

If Google can keep on top of this so that they are always displaying the most recent numbers, this will be amazing and will save people time hunting around lottery websites looking for the correct lottery and the correct dates.
