New AdWords Editor Version 10.6 Now Available

There is a brand new AdWords Editor out.  The latest version is 10.6 and is now available for download.

Google has added additional support for advertisings utilizing Mobile App Install campaigns.  While the campaigns must still be created within the AdWords interface, users can now manage the campaigns and create ads within the AdWords Editor.

In this latest version, you can manage your “Mobile app installs” campaigns (http://goo.gl/p6cHA6) and create app install ads. Download your keywords and targeting settings, upload and check changes, make bulk edits, and perform other time-saving tasks. Please note, you still need to create “Mobile app installs” campaigns in the AdWords interface.

They have also made continuing changes to the terminology from “delete” to “remove”, a change which particularly helps newer advertisers who might not realize that what they were “deleting” previous was actually still available for use in the future.

We’ve also replaced most instances of the word “Delete” with “Remove” to help advertisers better understand that removed objects are still available for future reference. This mirrors the change (http://goo.gl/gjNJtl) we made to AdWords in July. In some situations, you’ll still be able to permanently delete an object in AdWords Editor. For example, an unposted keyword added in AdWords Editor can be permanently deleted.

They have also added support to Shopping Campaigns and made the changes to the new sitelinks character limits.

This version also includes: the addition of the “Campaign Type” column, the ability to pause Product Listing Ads and enable Enhanced cost-per-click (http://goo.gl/XwDzhy) for Shopping campaigns (http://goo.gl/aPFzy7), and the new 25-character limit for sitelinks.

The previous version of AdWords Editor was released back in July, so we knew there would be a refresh soon with the changes to Shopping Campaigns Google recently made.
