Google Sending More Invites This Week to Webmaster Tools Search Impact Alpha

Have you been crossing your fingers for an invite into Google Webmaster Tool’s keyword tool alpha?  You could be in luck as Google is sending out more invites to the alpha this week.

The Search Impact Alpha Test – which was recently renamed Search Analytics – gives more detailed keyword information to webmasters, and slightly fills the gap left by “not provided” in a website’s analytics, as all Google search keywords are removed.

In the last Google Webmaster Tools Office Hours, someone asked about getting access to it.  John Mueller from Google replied.

I think we are doing a new round next week and we want to add a bunch of more people who signed up for that.  I don’t know if we can add all of them for the next beta.  I think that’s happening next week, so stay tuned.

I like where they’re headed with the new feature there,  it gives you a little bit more information and  a it more options so it will be interesting to see how it all comes out.

It is unclear if it is still considered beta or alpha – it was alpha during the sign up phase, but it could have just been referred to as beta in mistake.  It was still noted as alpha in Google Webmaster Tools.
