Google can display both a large featured snippet with image alongside a Google knowledge panel on the right side.
What makes this most noticeable is that the featured snippet – with an image and a table – is very lengthy and is actually longer than the knowledge panel with the related projects in it. On smaller screens it would likely take up the entire space above the fold.
Also, the source for both the featured snippet and the knowledge panel are the same Wikipedia page.
It is quite a feat for the same site to snag both a featured snippet and a knowledge panel for the same search result, especially since they both appear in expanded forms, with the table and image in the left side featured snippet and the knowledge panel with related topics in the right.
While we have sometimes seen knowledge panels and featured snippets show up in some search queries, I suspect Wikipedia’s CTR should be fairly significant in comparison to their regular organic Wikipedia link, which resides at #2. But Analytics programs might not be able to differentiate between the two areas of clicks to be able to attribute it properly.
