gsc redesignIf you go to login to Google Search Console, you will discover that the website has a brand new redesign and look, which makes it much easier to find the current information as well as some new pages, including a calendar that lists all Google webmaster related events.  Google announced it on the Webmaster Central Blog, and it is now active.

It’s a new year and a perfect time to share with you our brand new Webmasters website.

We spent a lot of time making this site right for you. We took our own advice by analyzing visitor behavior and conducting user studies to organize the site into categories you’ll find most useful. Thanks to our awesome community and Top Contributors for the valuable feedback during the process!

Here is how the homepage now looks:

They also made it easier to find parts of Search Console that webmasters find useful.  Here are the quick and easy links to the most common questions webmasters have when it comes to their sites in Google Search.

And they are now highlighting all the various ways that webmasters have to find more answers, as well as more personalized help from Google.

Quick access to Google’s testing tools, which will also be a huge help to those who give assistance to other webmasters with problems.

My favorite addition is the new Google Webmaster Events calendar that shows not only the Webmaster Office Hours hangouts, but also conferences that Googlers are speaking at of note to SEOs.

When you click on an event, it gives more information, including the event name or link to the hangout.

They also highlight the various communities that Google Webmasters are active on, along with the most recent blog post and most recent Google+ posts.new gsc7

Nothing has been changed within your Search Console dashboard.

It is great to see Google Search Console being revamped with new features and designed in a way to make it very easy for webmasters to find what they are looking for.  Well done GSC team 🙂

They have also announced it on Google+

For me, the opposite happens. When I’m logged OUT I see the new screen. It’s when I log in that the old screen appears; so I never get to use the new console.

    Any ideas?

Hmmm… I think I am usually logged out when I am on that screen, since when you login it takes you to your dashboard.
